Hoover's latest canister stands out for its design-savvy looks, not to mention the fact that it cleans with powerful WindTunnel technology. Dirt particles are cleverly ducted away from the spinning agitators to ensure they're captured in the bagless dirt cup and not sent back out onto the carpet. The HEPA filter traps minute allergen particles and conveniently removes for cleaning. Large, soft wheels allow the compact 12-amp vacuum--which looks like it could play a robot extra in Star Wars--to maneuver easily. We had a Dirt Devil upright vacuum but had the feeling it wasn't keeping our newly installed carpets clean, plus it was bulky and cumbersome to use. We decided to look for a canister vacuum since we had good luck with them in the past. After reading reviews we ordered the Hoover Wind Tunnel Canister Electronic Bagless.
Great suction! After using it we discovered loads of dirt in the easy to empty container that the Dirt Devil had missed. We live in the desert, so sand and dust can be a problem here.
This vacuum is low profile enough to fit under furniture making it unnecessary to move our living room tables.
Our carpets look great now!

I've owned this for about two months and have had great service from it. It's very quiet for a vacuum (quietest I've ever owned and at age 70 I've owned a few). The ability to change suction on the handle is very convenient. Also the "turbo powered" brush nozzle for furniture and pet hair is the greatest. We use it on smaller area rugs and it doesnt try to eat them like the carpet nozzles always do. Dont know why the belt drive even exists any more. The vacuum works extremely well, I can tell by the amount of dust, lint and hair that it collects with every vacuuming (didn't know our house could get that dirty).
Only negative, and it's really nitpicking, is the weight of the machine. A 20' extention hose would make a great accessory. Kudos to Hoover for a great job, and to Amazon for making it so easy to buy.

After getting this vacuum (shipped within a week) I read reviews that said these break down frequently, and at a big expense. I hope that doesn't happen, because I'm loving it. It was very easy to assemble. The hand controls are extremely convenient and the foot releases easily using the foot lever when you want to get the smaller, harder to reach areas. When vacuuming area rugs, it's so nice to be able to switch suction control with the buttons on the top. Great design. I've struggled with uprights for a while on stairs and this Hoover takes me 1/4 of the time to do them. The one drawback is that there is no place to store the stair foot on the canister. There is a covered part on the canister that does house a couple of tools for detailing. The cord wind up feature is fantastic. The cup is as convenient as most bagless vacuums can be. The filters are always a pain to clean. I just bring it outside and bang it on the ground to get the stuff out. All in all, I'm quite happy with the vacuum so far.

This little vacuum is excellent, it really is! It has great suction. The extendable little wand is a nice to have. I would have given it 5 stars, but really, the little bucket (bagless) fills up quickly....perhaps because I have 3 animals in this house, but nonetheless, I have to empty it often. Also, the cord is a little shorter than what I would like to have. It is an easy little thing to carry around and I really do love it. Great for the price.

Perhaps I have not found the way to do this, but the vacuum head on this unit does not appear to have a height adjustment. This is a problem when vacuuming in a house with hardwood floors and different level carpet pile. Works great on the hardwood, but the higher pile carpet is a bit of a pain as the spinning brush gets pretty bogged down in the higher carpet. What am I missing? I like the other features of this vacuum - great suction, light, easy to move around and the large wheels do help with maneuverability. Bagless is good and makes cleaning out easy and quick.
