3 out of 5 stars It works well but the battery depletes too quickly   May 18, 2010
Mohamad El-husseini
I bought this to vacuum cat litter and dust. It performed well in the beginning. After two months of moderate use, however, the battery started to drain quickly, and it became clear that it was not holding a good charge. Ultimately, I feel that it was a little gimmicky and had little utility for the money spent on it.

I did not bother to replace the battery as I decided to travel and move my things to storage.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, needs a holder   May 17, 2010

Vacuum so far, I've had for a little over a month now, but it works great. My only complaint is that it needs a holder for the recharging & the attachments!

1 out of 5 stars Euro Pro Shark Vac Model SV736   May 16, 2010
Man from Tehran (Maryland)
Shark Vac is great looking and works well but it's only good while the battery lasts. After that your best option is to throw it away and buy a new one. The battery needs to be charged constantly. Even with a charged battery the machine works for a brief period. The battery pack is made up of 12 small batteries factory wrapped into a pack. When you order and receive the replacement battery which including shipping costs you $22.00 you notice that there is no way you can change the battery yourself. The wires inside the vacuum are factory sealed. The battery itself has rubber pieces glued to it to keep it in place and prevent rattling. The new battery comes with no rubber attachments. After you spend good amount of time pulling the old battery out of the machine then you see the wires are sealed and the red wire doesn't go directly to the motor. There is a single battery (number 13th battery) in between the battery pack and the motor. There is no way to pull the red wire without damaging it and then what about the 13th battery? You have not ordered the replacement for it and the company very conveniently forgot to mention it.
So the moral of the story is "Don't buy the blasted thing".

5 out of 5 stars Best I've even owned   May 9, 2010

I have three of these. I wish I could afford to put one in every room in the house. You can't seem to break them and I've bought a replacement battery for one I've had five years. This is the hand vac to buy. Period.

5 out of 5 stars works well   May 6, 2010

Got this a week or so ago. Works fine so far. The biggest pain is charging it properly (20+ hours the first 3 times) then 8-10 hours subsequently, though when I called the manufacturer they said I can leave it plugged in all the time as long as it's going to be used daily or every other day. It's a very effective little hand vac.
