Product Description QuickSteamer PowerBrush II
Amazon.com Review Lugging the vacuum cleaner up a flight of stairs becomes a virtually painless chore with Bissell's lightweight Quicksteamer Powerbrush II model. The upright 4-amp vacuum weighs just 12 pounds while still providing up deep-down carpet cleaning, eradicating pet hair, dirt and small objects with power. Using steam heat and Bissell's own DirtLifting brush technology, this cleaner is ideal for individuals looking for painless, yet thorough cleaning. To use the carpet cleaner, users fill the 1/2-gallon tank with clean water and cleaning formula. At the push of the power button, the cleaner's brush uproots dirt from the carpet, lifting it up into the residue collection tank. The vacuum covers an 8-1/2-inch cleaning path. A removable nozzle enables flexibility while cleaning. Users maneuver the vacuum about the house with an ergonomically correct grip form minimal stress to wrists and hands. The vacuum cord spans a distance of 20 feet. Users assemble the cleaner by an easy two-step process. For the best success, read all enclosed material prior to use. The cleaner is covered by a one-year limited warranty. The vacuum measures 15-3/4 by 9 by 44-1/4 inches and weighs 18 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Great lightweight machine July 20, 2010 B. LePage (Florida) I used the Bissell Quicksteamer last week for the first time. It was easy to assemble, a dream to use and I shampooed 16 jute back scatter rugs ranging in size from 2 x 4' to 6 x 8' without a problem. I was happy to realize there was no side spray so I could shampoo carpets in place on my wood floors. It sure beats driving 40 miles to rent a machine that's big and clumsy to use. The last time I borrowed a machine from a friend. It was a horrible experience. The darn thing was too heavy and didn't do a good job, plus I had to haul the carpets out to the patio because water sprayed out the sides. Now I have a great lightweight Bissell and I'm a happy camper.
Because I read many of the reviews I knew to go slow to when extracting the water I did have to refill the water container and empty the dirty water container fairly often, but it was so easy, I didn't mind.
The most inconvenient task was cleaning the machine after use, but with a little patience was able to accomplish a spic and span job.
I love this Bissill and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this machine at Target because I got a new puppy who finds it fun to potty on the floor. It does a great job at freshening up plain carpet after a vacuum, but is almost worthless on pet stains. This is an ideal touch-up cleaner, and for the puppy owner, definitely not a good match. I think I'm going to buy an actual steam cleaner next.
Buyer Beware! - Not for Those with Pets! July 4, 2010 Baazumi (New York City, NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Faulty design! This unit has worked fine with one exception - I have two cats and therefore hair in my carpet. The unit refuses to work when the hair clogs the water channel. The reason the hair clogs the water channel is because there is ONLY about a 1/16th or less opening for the hair to pass through, (which is where the water passes through) which means you are CONSTANTLY having to take the unit apart, unscrewing and disassembling this part of the unit, remove the hair, which is almost impossible to retrieve because the opening is so narrow you can only get a Q-tip in it. I checked out the Hoover's, but they use the same exact design, so you will have the same problem if you have pets. Most likely you'll find yourself sitting on your carpet with a screwdriver in hand and very frustrated at the poor design of either the Bissell or the Hoover. It amazes me that products are released to the public without careful and thoughtful preliminary testing, preferably, by women, who use most of these products.
Very Happy June 16, 2010 BookTeacher (Midwest) Easy to put together, handle, operate, and clean. Put the machine on an old towel when emptying/refilling so that water in the machine does not leak out onto the floor. Machine did a great job of "refreshing" my carpets before my 2 year old grand daughter came to visit. So light and easy to use, I'll clean more often!
