I used this vacuum for the first time today and was fairly pleased with it until I broke it while trying to put it away.

Was so excited to purchase my very first vacuum especially after reading all the reviews and growing up with only Electrolux in the house. Great lightweight canister but NOT great with dog hair so need to go bagless. Used only twice and had to use a new bag each time so in no way is it practical. Missed the deadline by one day to return so quite pricey to be stuck with something so disappointing!
As I continue to use this after my intital review, I am more and more disppointed. I have a 2 bedroom 1928 cottage and 1 dog yet unable to vacuum the entire house without changing the bag.......AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH..... VERY VERY FRUSTRATING

I purchased the Electrolux EL 7020B Oxy3 canister vacuum several months ago, and have been very pleased with its performance so far. My family had Electrolux vacuums when I was growing up, so I was familiar with the Electrolux quality in vacuums. I realize, however, that the current Electrolux company has changed hands over the years and is not the original Electrolux company. I decided to buy the vacuum anyway since my upright vacuum was just too cumbersome and heavy to push around.
The Electrolux is lightweight and the large wheels make it easy to move around. One of the most convenient features is the buttons on the handle to the turbo cleaner -- on/off switch, variable suction button, carpet/bare floor buttons are all easily located on the handle that pushes into the wand that goes into the turbo cleaner brush.
It cleans extremely well on both the bare floor and carpet mode, and I can easily clean under beds with the turbo cleaner attached to the wand.
The Electrolux is exactly what I wanted in a new vacuum -- easy to move around, effective and efficient cleaner with HEPA filter with enough tools to do a thorough cleaning job.

Purchased thru Amazon in May 2010 and received it very quickly. The vacuum is quiet, efficient and a breeze to use. Our berber carpeting has never looked better even though we have three very hairy pets. We're very happy with the Electrolux so far!

This is the best vacuum I have owned, it's lightweight, easy to operate and has all the attachments that are needed on hand. I was even able to assemble it out of the box without reading instructions! I have mostly carpeting throughout my house and the carpet attachment easily vacuums underneath sofas and buffets. It's also terrific on my vinyl floors and the retractable cord makes it easy to put away. Great job Electrolux!
