Love this vacuum! July 28, 2010 K. Avalo This vacuum is great!! My mom bought it for me to pick up all the dog hair in the house (3 dogs, and one is a husky!). The vacuum is great at picking up pet hair, the sucking power is awesome, and gets up all the hair and dirt from the rugs and carpets. It's great on the hardwood floors too, because the hose part of the vacuum can pick up just about anything, and get in any nook and cranny.
It's also very lightweight, and transfers around the house easily. Super easy to use as well, and the cord is flexible and long, which I love. Assembly was not hard at all either! I would certainly recommend this vacuum to anyone, and especially anyone with pets!
barely worked, broke too soon July 7, 2010 Lagniappe (New York) We bought this as a cheap replacement for another Dirt Devil we'd had for more than a year. This one broke repeatedly, and even when it looked like it was working, never had suction. We were happy to pitch it.
Mediocre June 13, 2010 josh We were given this vacuum as an unregistered wedding gift, so I had an open mind when we first got it. I was excited about the bagless characteristic, because previously I had only used bags and was curious as to how I would like the bagless. We've now had it for 2 years and have only used it for our 700 sqft apartment (with mostly carpeting) and our car. All in all, I would not recommend this vacuum. The suction isn't great, and the handling is typically awkward for a large upright, and I can never get the filter clean. I think I'll buy a new one and stretch the life of this vacuum a bit, but as soon as we have some extra cash, I'll be upgrading to something else after doing some research. A vacuum should still be going strong after 2 years in a small apartment without pets. I guess it never was strong to begin with, so that explains it.
cheap! May 18, 2010 C. Pierson I bought this vacuum in December 2009. I was disappointed at how cheaply made it appeared to be but it was light-weight which was a plus for me. To pick up a piece of cereal such as a cheerio, you basicly have to lift the vacuum and place it on top of the cheerio or it won't pick it up. It is the same with any small hard piece of anything, and you can forget picking up a popcorn kernel. It has, or should I say HAD, good suction so I don't know why this was such a problem for the machine. I hated the fact that I had to disconnect the front of the vacuum and connect it to the hose to use to pick up corners and such, but hey for the price I was willing to overlook that pain. So I've had the thing an entire 5 months when the motor decided to burn up. I don't vacuum everyday, more like 1-2 times a week. You get exactly what you pay for with this cheap thing. I don't recommend to anyone unless you like to replace your vacuum every 5 months and have no kids, hence you maybe won't need to pick up a piece of cheerio, coco puff, or popcorn kernel. Amazon says I can't return it so I'm thinking I'll go to Wal-Mart to buy my next vacuum today.

I received this as a Christmas gift 4 years ago and it is still going strong. I have had to replace the belt a number of times (shoelaces and sweat pant strings) and I have replaced the filter 3 times. I now have a washable filter. The vacuum does a great job on all my carpets, it really pulls the dirt up and out. I have never had a complaint about this one. I have had many many vacuums over the years (I am a grandmother now) and this little guy does the job. You have to empty it each time you use it and clean the filter, the paper ones I used to knock out the dust outside someplace now I just run water through it until it runs clear. I would recommend this to any clean freak like me. The hose attaches easily to the bottom for getting into those little crevices and the little brush does well on pet hair and lamp shades etc.
