I bought this vac this weekend for $20.00 and I am very pleased with it. It is perfect for vacuuming vinyl flooring and area rugs. We live in a smaller mobile home and the cord is just long enough to vacuum the living room and kitchen without having to unplug it. We track in a lot of sand as our driveway has sand in it and we have 2 cats and 2 large dogs and this vac works wondering picking the sand and hair up. I have purchased a pet hair eraser vac that was 4 times more expensive than this one and it doesnt work near as well as this one. I couldnt be happier with it. I hate using a broom and dustpan as I feel all I am doing is moving the dirt around rather than picking it up and removing in. Now I actually enjoy sweeping the floors rather than dreading it. I would definately recommend this product. I will warn you though not to expect it to be able to pick up heavy dirt and large items because after all is just a hand vac with a handle.

it's great. Small, light weight, and it picks stuff up. I leave it plugged in in the family. I have a 1 year old and the room seems to need cleaning all the time. It even picks up cheerios. Although you have to make it it's right down the middle to pick it up.

I'm so happy that I got this vacuum cleaner for my daughter for only $30! it's really worth it for the price, especially if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a smalll, lightweight vacuum. It's small and compact, perfect to store in a small dorm room, and it can be transformed into a hand vac that's useful for vacuuming the bed, table and chairs. My daughter's suitemates borrow this all the time! The only thing is that this vacuum bag is really hard to empty, the dust will literally fly everywhere. Just make sure you empty it outside. But overall, it's a great product.

I have my Dirt Devil 083405 Versa Power for five months now and I'm still amazed at the amount of dust this stick vac is able to pick up. I've been using it at least once a week to clean two carpeted bedrooms and the tile floor of a bathroom. It does a great job on hard floors. However, it has some difficulty picking up hair (human hair) from carpets. But when it comes to dust, this one can suck dust bunnies where I didn't see one in the first place. The handle and the floor and crevice tools are easy to attach to the hand vac and they stay securely in place. In fact, I always experience some difficulty when removing the floor tool attachment. Following the manufacturer's instructions, I always empty the dirt cup after every cleaning. Most of the dust and hair, however, end up stuck to the filter. I usually clean the filter by using an old toothbrush and having a deep wastebasket also helps. I hold the filter as far as my arms will go inside the wastebasket and brush the filter as gently as I can.
Although I'm probably doing more overlapping strokes when vacuuming with this vac (even with the floor tool attached, the work is still done through the handvac nozzle), this stick vac has made life easier for me mainly because it's so lightweight. Now vacuuming is no longer a chore for me since I don't have to deal with the heaviness of a full-sized vacuum cleaner. The one improvement I'd like to see in the Versa Power is for it to come with a longer cord since the manufacturer recommends not using an extension cord with the cleaner. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Dirt Devil Versa Power and highly recommend it for everyday or weekly light maintenance cleaning.
NOTE: I'm surprised to see that this vac is not available at the moment but hope it'll be in stock again.

i don't have much vacuum-able areas in my studio, i was looking for something cheap and hopefully not something that will take up a lot of space. this fit the bill, and i'm pleasantly surprised how well something like this cleans. picks up quite a lot of dust along with the bigger items. the only minor issue is that emptying it isn't very easy. the bigger items fall to the bottom of the canister, while the dust and stuff cling to a filter. the only good way i can get the crap off is to scrape it against either a butter knife or the edge of the trashcan.
