The brushes seem to be OK, the screws to attach them to the Roomba were completely wrong. They weren't long enough and wouldn't stay on no matter how hard you tried to screw them in. The also looked a lot different the the side brush screws I received when I ordered these directly from Roomba. Anyhow, I had some computer casing screws that experimented with and they work beautifully. So I guess my problem is solved, but it wasn't solved by the company I purchased them from here at Amazon.

I have the older Roomba Scheduler and also a Discovery and those come with the two brush shorter side brushes, not this one which has three brushes on the rotator. The brushes are a bit longer in this product which I thought might be a problem with the placement of it so close to the wheel, but it appears the old brush was also smacking up against the wheel anyway. If it was a problem I would simply trim the bristles a bit, but didn't have to.

These little things seem to make my Roombas work even better than before even if they were not intended to be used on the older models!

The side brushes never last on our Roomba robots, but these side brushes bought here are a good deal compared to buying them from Irobot themselves. Save yourself some time and $$ and just buy them here on Amazon.

I have been using roomba for a while and although the front brush didnt break I wanted to have some replacement at home. The price was good so I ordered 2 sets. I hope my roomba 530 lasts at least as much as my 6 new brushes :)
