 Holds a lot for a bagless March 9, 2010

After two uses my new vacuum is already in the shop. The brush quit working and I've returned it for warranty service.
Positives:
It seems to hold a lot more dirt than other bagless vacs without losing suction power.
The filter is pretty easy to clean including its own cleaning system.
Easy carrying handle for when you're using the hand tools.
Negatives:
It is relatively heavy.
It has a flimsy on/off switch.
No way of turning off the brush if you just want to use implements
No self-retracting cord (must be hand wound up)
A short hose for the hand implements not long enough to reach cabinets, etc
Brush motor/belt/something undetermined already broke
Overall, a very unsatisfactory vacuum considering price and that it's advertised as the "anniversary" edition. I expected a lot better of Hoover.

My wife is thrilled with this vacuum. She's amazed by how much embedded dirt & lint is being pulled out of what we thought were pretty clean carpets. We've only owned this for a month so we can't vouch for reliability, but for $160 this seems like an excellent value thus far.

I bought this vacuum after getting a puppy and it is fabulous. The attachments work really well and it does a great job of picking up all of the dog hair. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that does not bother me. Also, I have harwood and stone floors and the vacuum does a great job of picking up everything on them. I feel this vacuum is a great buy for the price.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Vacuum Cleaner.
It has a lot of suction power / a long cord / very easy to clean.
It picked up so much more than my older vacuum. Make the purchase you should be happy.
