I've had several handheld vacuums, quite a few of them Dustbusters by Black & Decker, which I have come to believe is the best brand to buy. They do basic, small jobs and generally hold up well. And they cost much less than many other brands that are less effective.
I mostly use my Dustbuster to pick up kitty litter and the occasional broken glass or piece of china. This new model works even better than my older version, which finally wore out after 7 or 8 years of service. This model has stronger suction and a larger collection bag. And it has a handy corner attachment that extends from the nozzle for hard-to-reach areas.
This 14.4 volt model is an excellent value for the money and I highly recommend it.

I bought this just for stray bits of dirt, dust and cat hair that always seem to be underfoot. It does a fine job with small light weight particles; anything substantial and what you are trying to pick up falls out of the nozzle when you lift the vac. You can help this somewhat by making sure the filter is clean. I just go over the filter with my fingers and pinch of dust and fuzz every now and then and the suction jumps up a step. My one objection -- so far -- has been the power switch!! It's VERY stiff and takes both thumbs to turn on and off. Is this typical? Or just the unit I have. All in all it is doing everything I need of a small vacuum that I need to have ever handy, just within reach.

It is a great vacuum, powerfull. I had a same brand 7 volt hand vacuum before, it was great, but now I like this one with more power.

Great little cordless vacuum for small jobs. I just wish the nozzel was a little thinner for those tight areas like sliding door tracks.

I just bought this vac and charged it for a day and a half and used it . It held it's power for about 5 mins. and the power just suddenly slowed down and wouldn't pick up anything . I'll never buy another cordless vac again. I'm taking it back for a refund today. Ladies, ALWAYS !!!! get your money back.
