We have had 3 Hoover's over our 30+ years of marriage and household, so why wouldn't we believe the next one would be any different? It wasn't, in fact maybe even the best yet. My wife likes canister type vacuum cleaners and that's all we have ever known. The very 1st one was a Hoover (wedding gift) and that's why we are still buying them.
She certainly appreciates the power of the newest one and Amazon did not leave us down. Everything arrived in perfect condition and in excellent time.
If my wife dislikes anything it would be the larger (regular floor) nozzle. She says it's at bit larger than the last generation's and is just a little bit harder to get into tight corners. Other than that, 5 stars. No regrets.

I am very happy with this vacuum. In fact, I sold a Dyson cleaner for half the price I paid for it because I wanted to go back to a canister vacuum. The suction is outstanding and the item is of very high quality and I would buy it again.

This vacuum has to be the greatest thing since sliced bread! I have a german shepherd and a cat, which means there's always hair somewhere! My house is a mix of hard floors and carpets, and the ease with which this machine switches from carpets to floors (button on the handle), makes vacuuming the whole house easier and faster. Also, after years of struggling with an upright in tight spaces--having to stop, go get the attachments, convert it from upright to the attachments, just for one dust bunny somewhere--I was also amazed at how easy the Hoover is to quickly switch to the wand for an otherwise unreachable spot! In addition, my carpets "felt" different (softer)on my bare feet after just one vacuuming--it either cleaned them better than they've ever been cleaned, or it lifted the nap on them--or both, whatever it was they look better than they've looked in along time, too. The 25 ft. cord, paired with the 7-ft hose/wand, means that I can vacuum a long way without stopping to plug in again. It's been a godsend on stairs, too! Sure don't understand the negative ratings this machine received. My only question was why I waited so long to buy this!

The vacuum broke down after approximately 4 months of light use (1-bedroom apartment, mostly on weekends): the 'bag full' light stopped working, the brushroll stopped working and the vacuum would operate only at the lower speed only, with a highly diminished "sucking" strength.
We left it at a Hoover certified repair shop, they called us back next day and told us that the main circuit board had broken down, and that it needed to be replaced. They also said the circuit board was of a very low quality, and that because Hoover had recently been bought by some Chinese company, they had to order the replacement board through them under the warranty repair.
It's been 1 month since the repair shop has placed the order, and they still have not gotten the replacement part. We are waiting, and our apartment now is full of dust.
Don't buy buy any of Hoover vacuum cleaners if you do not want to repeat our mistake: pay an average price or above average price, and get a low-quality product with a far below average warranty service.
 Good Carpet Suction Otherwise Not Happy With Hoover July 26, 2010

I am not happy with this Hoover Vacuum. In the past (and I certainly thought it remained so today) Hoover was one of the best vacuums there was. I purchased this Hoover WindTunnel Cannister Anniversary Edition Bagged S3670 Vacuum a while ago and only now had the opportunity to write this review. I will be brief:
Pros (only one):
It is a great vacuum when it comes to cleaning your carpets. The suction is fantastic but a vacuum should do more than just clean carpets.
Cons:
-IT IS HEAVY
-DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER
-DOES NOT CLEAN FLOORS WELL (floor attachment doesn't fit on the wand-must force it on hence suction is not great)
-TERRIBLE ATTACHMENTS (much too small and the brush attachment is angled awkwardly so it is hard to clean certain areas). I use my old brush attachment[force it on] which is soooo much better than Hoover's
-SMALL FILTER BAGS
-DIRT (FLUFF) GETS CAUGHT IN THE TOP OF THE CARPET ATTACHMENT AND CANNOT BE REMOVED UNLESS IT IS TAKEN APART WHICH IS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. WHY DOESN'T IT GO INTO THE FILTER BAG???
-AND IT SMELLS (I agree with another reviewer that you need to change the filter bag when it is half full and I do not have a dog!!)
