NOT for pet hair July 29, 2010 Al Bravo I bought this vac for our downstairs hardwood floors. I bought it mainly to get away from a heavy plug-in vac I used to use on that area. The design, filter system, suction, battery all are fine. BUT, after using this on about 500 sq. ft. the entire roller and small wheels were plugged with pet hair. There was more hair stuck to the roller than there was in the dust bin. And clearing that roller takes more time than it does to vacuum. The small casters get wrapped up to the point that they go from wheels to skids. Cleaning out those wheels is next to impossible. It takes a pair of needle nose pliers to clear them. I think this vacuum will be relegated to bathroom tile duty.
The PSV 1800 by Black anbd Decker July 19, 2010 Vacuum Man The vacuum design is a good idea. However, when the product was put together it did not work. I followed the trouble shooting directions in the manual and discovered a broken part that prevented the vacuum from charging. This product I recieved was poorly manufactured and i returned the item.
great stick vac July 14, 2010 SHELIA 1959 This is a great little stick vac. Works great on bare floors and rugs. Worth the money. Lightweight.
Pretty good July 13, 2010 shebre (midwest) I already own the hand held Black and Decker pivoting vac and like it enough to buy the full sized one. This one does a pretty good job cleaning up after 2 dogs and 2 cats but it may be not quite as powerful as the hand held unit. It also is a bit unwieldy to unfold and to fold it back up after use. The power brush does decently, but I wouldn't give up my standard vac for it.
BD PSV1800 VacClean Impression July 13, 2010 E. Lee (Arizona) The cleaner was delivered on time. It has to be initially charged for 24 hours (as directed). After that, it has worked fine for our needs in the month that we've had it. We have mostly tile floors with allergy-free rugs in our 4 bedrooms - no pets - it is used mostly for light cleanups. Its design to 'bend' makes it very productive and its suction power is very acceptable for our needs.
