| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The new Miele FJM HyClean vacuum bags are an improvement over the earlier design. Over 80 years of experience have allowed Miele engineers to design a truly improved vacuum bag. The new design employs nine levels of filtration, improved air flow, high strength netting, and up to 30% improved performance and design over its predecessor. A new self sealing collar locks dust and contents inside of the dust bag so they do not escape into your home when replacing bags.
Each box of HyClean vacuum bags contains the following:
*4 - pack of FJM HyClean Vacuum Bags
*1 - Motor Filter
*1 - Super Air Clean Filter
Miele FJM HyClean vacuum bags are used with the following Miele vacuums: S4000-S4999, S700-S758S, S500-S578, S300i-S399, S290-S291, S241-S256i.

Miele Vacuum Cleaner bags July 20, 2010 Sisyphus (Monroe Twp, NJ USA) Had I known that the shipping charge for a small box of 4 vacuum cleaner bags would be nearly eight dollars, I never would have placed the order. What a ripoff!! and totally unjustifiable since the weight of the package was negligible, cardboard box and paper product. I'll take myself to the shopping mall when I need articles like these and not purchase from Amazon again. The shipment arrived promptly but that's about the only good aspect to the entire experience.
Very nice for a vacuum bag. May 30, 2010 Denise King (Boston, MA USA) The bags are very durable, well made compared to most. However, I am a three pet household and I go through them too quickly and find the cost is too much. I ended up puchasing a 'generic' bag that isn't as pretty but is as functional. It may not be best for allergies ( I don't know), but they do work okay so far. I would have given the Miele bags five stars except for the price.
Miele vacuum bags April 27, 2010 Barbara L. Geistfeld Bags are easy to use, easy to change and work great at keeping dust from blowing back into the house. The HEPA filter is also part of this system, so that contributes to the clean odor and dust free air.
too expensive March 22, 2010 Mr. John Wilson (Silver Spring, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These new bags are way too expensive and they only fill up about 1/2 way! The vacuum cleaner itself is great but the bags come up short. The trap door idea is a loser as it gets stuck open on debris. The old bags were better, but still too expensive because you can't fill them up. The engineers need to keep working on this one!
New bags are a disaster March 12, 2010 queenofclean (Dallas, Tx USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These new bags are a disaster! I have had my Miele vacuum cleaner for 5 years - and LOVE it! I never had any problem with the old bags. Problems with the new bags are: 1) Inside the new bags there are small plastic strips that run parallel to each other. These strips are supposed to "sway" in the suction and push the dirt/debris to the edges of the bag. They don't work - the dirt/debris stays piled in the middle of the bag. The new bags only get 1/3 full and then . . . 2) The new bags have a flap that opens (and closes). When the dirt gets piled in the middle of the bag - the flap is probably held open allowing the dirt/lint to escape. Twice I have opened my bag compartment to find it filled with dirt and lint. I had to 1) pay $50.00 to have my motor cleaned out (full of lint/dirt) and 2) another $50.00+ for a new HEPA filter. My vacuum cleaner repair store said they have had a lot of complaints from Miele customers. Offered 2 solutions: 1) Some people are cutting through the plastic strips in the bag to keep them from working (or not working) and 2) There is a generic bag made for the vacuum by EnviroCare Technologies. I opted for the generic bag - because it DOES NOT have a flap - which I believe to be a part of the problem. Email Miele - maybe they will bring back the OLD bags.
